"Yue Yue", a beach cafe restaurant in Suo Oshima
Seafood from the "wild" caught in Oshima is made into a seafood bowl as it is.
Vegetables are mainly locally grown pesticide-free vegetables. We offer five types of dishes, including "Premium Kaisendon," "Kaisen Zuke Don," "Shima Gozen," "Kamameshi Gozen," and "Fish Frito Burger," which are truly filled with the bounty of Suo Oshima.
The chef's wish is for guests to enjoy seasonal ingredients by using simple cooking methods that make the most of the ingredients, with a focus on fish and pesticide-free vegetables caught locally on Oshima. Please enjoy a relaxing and luxurious time at the restaurant overlooking the beach.
Chef Takashi Tanaka fascinated by Suo Oshima
He studied under "Michelin-starred owner chef Michio Kitaoka," who has supervised major food manufacturers and appeared on many cooking shows.
As the owner-chef of "Shikisai Tanaka" in Hiroshima, he has been cooking for a wide range of customers, from big-name artists and celebrities in various fields to ordinary customers. Later, he moved to Suo-Oshima in the Seto Inland Sea, where he became the head chef at Yueyue in August 2022.
Fresh fish caught on Suo Oshima
All fish are only "wild" caught in Suo Oshima, our home island. Chef Tanaka himself will serve the most delicious catch of the day in a Kaisen Don (seafood bowl).
Take a breather with exquisite rice-bran paste
The pickles, which were inherited from Chef Tanaka's master, Japanese Cuisine Kitaoka, are served at dinner time as well, and are highly praised by customers. Please enjoy this simple yet deeply flavored dish.

All of the ingredients are from Suo-Oshima, and you can truly feel the bounty of the island in the dishes. The menu changes with the catch of the day, so no matter how many times you visit, you will never get tired of it.
